SCOUT Initiatives

In 2022, Dr. Chrysalyne Schmults and Dr. Emily Ruiz were inspired by their patients and colleagues to work on a solution to this problem. They knew that clinicians wanted to share information and best practices with their patients, and patients were seeking credible information and a peer group to discuss disease management strategies and outcomes. To that end, the organization Skin Cancer Outcome Consortium (SCOUT) partnered with industry-leading community advisors to build an effective and scalable solution, with the investment of thought leadership and financial backing of Med Learning Group and several leading pharmaceutical companies.

The community will serve patients with cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, and other rare cutaneous neoplasms. Clinicians can also share their research with the Community to help determine the best care options, recruit for clinical trials, and more.

The Skin Cancer Champions community will go live in the fall of 2023.  If you want to join the community beta group, please email us at info@scoutconsortium.org with the subject line Community Beta.
