Power In Numbers
The Skin Cancer Outcomes (SCOUT) Consortium is a group of multi-speciality physicians who are expert in the study and treatment of non-melanoma skin cancer.
Members include dermatologists, dermatologic/Mohs surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and specialists in surgical oncology/head and neck surgery/plastic surgery, all working together to advance the care of non-melanoma skin cancer patients through cutting edge research and cancer trials.
Skin Cancer Outcomes Consortium
SCOUT is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide the pharmaceutical and biologic industries easy access to physician experts in skin cancer, particularly basal and squamous cell carcinoma. SCOUT provides its clients with consultative services in research study design, and ready access to qualified enrollment sites to facilitate execution of clinical trials both large and small. Our international consortium of physician members, expert in the study of non-melanoma skin cancer and patient care, have medical practices that are referral centers for patients with advanced disease. SCOUT consortium teams are multidisciplinary with representatives from dermatology, surgery, radiation therapy and oncology at each site. This structure allows SCOUT clients to benefit from the expertise of all specialists involved in the care of skin cancer patients during the study design phase, and to capitalize on SCOUT’s broad patient referral base to more rapidly meet study enrollment goals.
